Supreme Court Explains Venue of Arbitration Along With Jurisdiction of High Court - 26.07.2019

Supreme Court has noted that when a place is agreed upon by the parties as the 'venue' of Arbitration, only the High Court having jurisdiction over that place can entertain a petition under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking the appointment of an arbitrator.
