Rajya Sabha Passes Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Amendment) Bill, 2019 - 25.07.2019

Rajya Sabha has passed Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Amendment) Bill, 2019 entailing amendments to the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 by including death penalty for aggravated sexual assault on children, besides providing stringent punishments for other crimes against them. The Bill also provides for fines and imprisonment to curb child pornography.
