Jammu and Kashmir High Court Shows Concern Over Safety, Security of Mine Workers - 16.07.2019

Jammu and Kashmir High Court has sought to know about the steps the State Government to implement the statutory provisions as well as the rules and regulations of mining in Jammu and Kashmir. The Court while hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) also sought to know about the environmental degradation and the adverse impact on the ecology due to illegal mining and measures to ensure the safety and security of the workers in the mines.
