Supreme Court Declines to Hear Plea of TikTok Seeking Transfer of Cases - 04.07.2019

Supreme Court has declined to hear a request of Chinese social media app TikTok for the transfer of cases relating to ban on it from the Madras High Court to the top court. The Court did not agree with the contention of Senior Advocate appearing for the Chinese firm, that all the matters pending in the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court be transferred to New Delhi for final and expeditious disposal.
