Punjab and Haryana High Court Asks Police to Record Statement of Witnesses by Audio Video Means - 17.06.2019

Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed all the investigating officers in the State of Punjab to record the statement under Section 161 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (CrPC) by audio, video, and electronic means. The Court held that all the investigating officers in the State of Punjab are directed to record the statement under Section 161 Cr.P.C. by audio, video, and electronic means.
