DHC: Renewal of Passport Cannot be Denied Citing Criminal Case in Case There is Permission from Court - 10.06.2019

Delhi High Court (DHC) has directed the Regional Passport office to renew the passport of Rajiv Chaturvedi, the Chief General Manager of State-Run PEC Limited while observing that nothing precludes a person facing criminal or departmental proceedings from obtaining passport facilities if he has sought permission from the court as per a 1993 notification issued by the Centre in 1993.
