Carriage by Air (Amendment) Bill, 2015
The Lok Sabha has passed a Bill to enhance compensation payable by airlines in the event of death or injury of passengers and damage or loss of cargo and baggage. The Bill proposes grant of authority to the government to set limits under the Carriage by Air Act, 1972 and enables it to formulate rules to the same effect.
