Witness can be Called 'Interested' Only When He Derives Benefit Seeing Accused Person Punished: SC - 29.04.2019
Supreme Court has observed, while rejecting a defence contention in a criminal appeal, that the witness may be called "interested" only when he or she derives some benefit from the result of a litigation in decree in a civil case, or in seeing an accused person punished.
