Court can Appoint Arbitrator Only After Resorting to Procedure in Arbitration Agreement: SC - 01.04.2019

Supreme Court has observed that High Court, while dealing with an application under Section 11(6) of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, seeking appointment of an 'independent Arbitrator', should first resort to mechanism in appointment of an arbitrator as per terms of contract as agreed by parties.
