Issue of Sovereign Gold Bonds deferred

The Reserve Bank of India notified that due a large number of applications subscribing to Sovereign Gold Bonds, 2015-2016, the date of issue of the Bonds has been postponed to 30 November 2015. Initially the date of issue was set at 26 November 2015. The additional time is sought to enter the applications, particularly those received from post offices, into RBI’s ‘E-kuber’ system.
