SERVICE - Amended SC-ST Act Doesn't Limit Court's Jurisdiction to Grant Anticipatory Bail: Calcutta HC - 01.03.2019

Calcutta High Court has granted anticipatory bail to a journalist who was charged under Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and observed that amended SC-ST Act does not limit court's jurisdiction to grant anticipatory bail in cases where no Offence is made out.
