Madras HC Upholds Right of Government to Keep a Check on Spending of Public Money by Panchayats - 30.11.2015

Madras HC while expressing concern over complaints of misappropriation of huge amounts of panchayat funds by their office-bearers by misusing autonomy granted to elected local bodies, has upheld right of government and district administration to keep a check on spending of public money.
