Supreme Court: No Trademark Allowed on Gods, Religious Texts - 25.11.2015

SC has ruled that names of gods or holy books cannot be trademarked to sell goods and services, as allowing such a thing could offend people’s sensibilities. The court said that as per the law, one cannot take advantage of gods and goddesses to sell products.
