Public Procurement Bill reinvigorated for 2015

The Central Government is set to re-introduce the Public Procurement Bill, 2012 to Parliament, albeit with a few changes. Earlier in the year, the Ministry of Finance had invited comments and feedback on the Bill, 2012. A key change forecast is the removal of the Rs. 50 lakh limit below which the legislation would be inapplicable. Another is the provision of a stronger grievance redressal mechanism.
