NGT Directs Closure Of 5 UP Tanneries For Extracting Ganga Water Without Permission - 13.09.2018

NGT has directed the closure of five Kanpur-based tanneries for discharging effluents in river Ganga after CPCB informed it that the units lacked NOC from the Central Ground Water Authority.
