Ministry of Finance “E-Sahyog" Pilot Project to Facilitate Taxpayers

The Ministry of Finance has launched a pilot project, “e-Sahyog” to reduce the need for taxpayers to appear physically before tax authorities. It will aim initially to reduce compliance costs in instances when an assessee's return of income selected for scrutiny shows mismatch. Assessees will be able to file an online response to such queries through their unique login information.
