Absence of Witness Signatures on Arrest Memo is Sufficient to Assume Wrongful Detention: Calcutta HC - 16.08.2018

Calcutta High Court has asserted that absence of witness signatures on arrest memo is sufficient to discharge the onus on the accused to establish that there exist reasonable grounds indicating wrongful detention under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
