WCD Ministry Issues Model Guidelines for Foster Care

Ministry of Women and Child Development has issued Model Guidelines for Foster Care. Though the Guidelines provide a template for interactions and procedures in foster care, defining the roles and responsibilities of adoption agencies and child protection units, the same are only optionally adoptable by States.
