The Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill, 2014

The Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill proposes establishment of National State Advisory Boards for the regulation and supervision of assisted reproduction clinics. Under the Bill, surrogacy for foreigners with no Indian lineage or spousal links will not be allowed. On another note, such has been the gestation period for the Bill, circa 2008, that even the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare could not but acknowledge its long delay to fruition.
