Rs. 263.97 crores received in Private FM Radio Phase III Channel auction

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting received Rs 263.97 crore as bid deposits from successful bidders of e-auction of first batch of private FM radio Phase III channels. Successful bidders have till 1st October, 2015 to pay the balance amount, subsequent to which the Ministry will issue letters of intent. The e-auction of the first batch of FM phase III comprising 135 channels in 69 cities commenced on 27.7. 2015 and concluded on 9.9.2015.
