Court denies bail to former Delhi Law Minister

Noting the litany of serious charges leveled against Somnath Bharti, former Law Minister for the State of Delhi, the Court dismissed his petition “that in the event of arrest of the petitioner, he will be released on bail”. With regard to the cruelty by brutal assault perpetrated on his wife, the Court opined more generosity and responsibility towards his wife and children was expected from him as an elected member of the legislative assembly.
