Supreme Court: Service Tax cannot be Levied on Chit Fund Business - 10.07.2017

Supreme Court has categorically held that chit fund business are not subject to service tax as it was not covered by sub-clause (v) of sub-section 12 of Section 65 after its amendment by Finance Act, 2007.
