Del. HC: Order of ITSC Final & Conclusive for a Particular AY for Which Application is Filed - 05.07.2024
Delhi High Court while allowing the appeal filed by the department, has held that the order of the Income Tax Settlement Commission (ITSC) is final and conclusive for a particular Assessment Year (AY) for which the application has been filed.

SC: Bail Shouldn’t be Opposed for Seriousness of Offence if Prosec. Agency Can’t Ensure Speedy Trial - 05.07.2024
SC has observed that if any prosecuting agency has no wherewithal to provide or protect the fundamental right of an accused to have a speedy trial as enshrined under Article 21 of the Constitution then prosecuting agency should not oppose plea for bail on the ground that crime committed is serious.

Kerala High Court: To Constitute Abetment, Intentional Aid by Abettor Must be Shown - 05.07.2024
Ker. HC has held that to constitute abetment, abettor must be shown to have intentionally aided commission of crime. Mere proof that crime charged could not have been committed without interposition of the alleged abettor is not enough compliance with the requirements of Section 16 of the POCSO Act.
