SC Requests CJ of Jharkhand HC to Probe Removal Of Part Of Bail Order From Court’s Site - 10.11.2017
SC has requested Chief Justice of Jharkhand HC to conduct an enquiry or to have it conducted by a suitable independent officer, into two orders of denial of bail to two political prisoners, husband & wife, and determine how these orders were issued, uploaded on the website, & removed partly later.

SC Approves Constitution Of Wage Revision Committee For Nurses, Hospital Staff In Kerala - 10.11.2017
Supreme Court has approved the constitution of a committee constituted by Kerala Government under Section 9 of Minimum Wages Act, 1948, for revising the wages of nurses and hospital staff, by dismissing an appeal filed by the Kerala Private Hospital Association.

SC to States: Show Some Compassion for Homeless, Construct Shelter Homes for Them - 09.11.2017
Supreme Court has slammed state governments for their apathy and insensitivity towards the plight of homeless people in the country and appealed to them to show "sympathy and compassion" by constructing shelter homes for them for which more than Rs 2000 crore have been granted by Centre since 2013.

SC: Period Undergone By a Convict While In Detention as Under Trial Could Be Set Off - 09.11.2017
Supreme Court has held that period already undergone by a convict while he was in detention, as under-trial and as convict, could be treated as jail sentence once awarded to him and its benefit by way of set off could be given to him under Section 428 of Code of Criminal Procedure (Cr.PC).
